International Investment Fund: Based in Ann Arbor, eyeing the world

Launched in 2019 by a group of MBA students, the University of Michigan International Investment Fund (IIF) invests in and supports small and medium size enterprises (SMEs) in emerging economies, starting with India and expanding worldwide. IIF aims to address the financing gap for SMEs, generate risk-adjusted returns by investing in a high-potential but untapped sector, and harness the potential of SMEs to drive economic development through job creation. As a student run fund, IIF provides an unparalleled action-based learning experience. The fund is an initiative of the William Davidson Institute and the Stephen M. Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan.
